Yard Sales Advisor
Due to continued growth, we require a yard person/sales advisor to work in our Letrim, Castlewellan yard 5 days per week (Monday Friday), with the possibility of Saturday work also.
The individual should be hard-working, pleasant, enthusiastic, organised, have excellent communication skills and be able to use their own initiative.
Key duties:
- Making Bales of Shavings / Sawdust.
- Making New Wooden Pallets.
- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Serving customers face to face and providing the highest possible service.
- Preparing orders for collection and delivery and ensuring sales documentation is completed.
- To have a general interest in the products we are selling (animal bedding, timber, solid fuel etc).
- General housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, organised and tidy yard.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure business objectives are met.
Essential:
- A good basic education which includes GCSE Maths and English.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem solving skills and complete tasks thoroughly.
- Experience in driving a forklift and operating other similar machinery.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Forklift & Manual Handling Licence.
Working hours: Monday Friday (8am 5pm)
Salary: negotiable depending on experience.
