MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Yard Person will be a reliable and hardworking individual who will be responsible for the upkeep of our warehouse, ensuring the warehouses and yard remain clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
ACCOUNTABILITES
This role will involve the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouses and yard by regularly sweeping, cleaning, tidying, and weeding.
- Performing general minor yard maintenance duties.
- Assisting with the removal of waste, recycling, and other materials as required.
- Helping to maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles and ensure they are kept in good condition.
- Helping control traffic onsite.
- Emptying bins and maintain the cleanliness of the car park area.
- Removing crates, pallets, plastic wrap, rubbish, wood etc from outside the warehouse to maintain a clutter-free environment.
- Maintaining Health, Safety, and Hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Take initiative in identifying and addressing any safety hazards or security concerns on the premises.
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience of manual handling (Training will be provided)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility with working hours and days per week.
- Be willing to follow all health and safety guidelines.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Forklift Truck Licence (Training will be provided if required)
- Driving Licence.
