Job Summary

WELLNESS WORKER

Location Base: Omagh Area. Service delivery both virtually and in / community-based outreach centres / schools / homes.

Hours: 20 Hours per week (flexible working options can be discussed with the successful candidate(s)

Starting Salary: £13,051.73

Duration: Fixed term contract until 30th June 2027

Closing date: 12 noon, Thursday 6th November 2025

Support children and adults referred to the service using the concepts of the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) the aim of improving their emotional health & wellbeing.

In discharging their roles, all MindWise staff are expected to display our values of, passion, respect, empathy and openness and transparency to innovate and deliver together.

The MindWise Competency outlines the behaviours that are essential to effective performance. The Competencies relevant to these roles are set out for everyone in Level 1 of the Framework.

Postholders may be required to move across services as needed, with training provided as required which relates to specific aspects of the service.

What we ask for from you:

  • Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) training completed or willing to complete on commencement in role.
  • Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English or GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 to 6 months recent experience, providing support to children or families with mental health needs either in a paid or voluntary position

OR

Demonstrate a minimum of 6 months experience of providing support in a paid or voluntary capacity in another care setting.

  • NISCC Registration or eligible to be registered from commencement of role
  • Must hold a full driving licence or access to reliable transport to enable them to carry out the duties associated with this post
  • Ability to demonstrate alignment with MindWise’s core values of Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness & Transparency
