Job Summary

In this exciting role, you’ll drive the creation of advanced skills training aligned with national frameworks and the University’s strategic goals. ‘Your primary focus will be on delivering leadership and management development programmes and related workshops and events, including those accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), to ensure our students gain industry-recognised qualifications and real-world capabilities. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing growth and innovation of the Graduate School, enhancing the overall postgraduate experience and helping to build a vibrant, supportive learning community.

About the person:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to develop and deliver high-level skills training and development programmes for postgraduate students. The ideal candidate will focus on leadership and management training related to Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accreditation, contributing to the growth of the Graduate School and enhancing the overall postgraduate student experience.

Key responsibilities include planning, designing, and delivering high-quality training in areas such as leadership, project management, and entrepreneurial practice. The candidate will a develop tailored training solutions including setting and marking assessments aligned to accreditation syllabi. You will build partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance training opportunities.

The role requires excellent analytical, organisational, and ICT skills, along with a high level of oral and written communication abilities. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively and contribute to the development of frameworks and systems to support student skills development. Experience in delivering engaging training methods and working with a range of partners is essential.

The successful candidate will build relationships with stakeholders and contribute to events that enhance the reputation of the Graduate School. They must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required and have periods of restricted annual leave in September and October.
