Due to continued expansion and growth we are now recruiting for a Trainee Tyre Technician to join our team.

Applicants must be reliable and need to be able to demonstrate their enthusiasm, self motivation and communication skills for this role.

Essential Criteria:

• Punctual, dependable, passionate and hard-working.
• Basic literacy & numeracy
• Genuine interest in automotive work or learning a trade
• Willingness to complete on-the-job training and any required qualifications

Desirable Criteria:

• Basic tyre & mechanical knowledge
• A valid drivers licence.

Duties Include:

• Check, remove, replace and repair worn and damaged or defective tyres.
• Repair punctures and ensure correct air pressures and levels in tyres.
• Carry out wheel balances, wheel alignment and tracking adjustments.
• Change filters, lubricating parts and perform basic road safety checks and basic car services
• Increase revenue through upselling to customers
• Loading and unloading tyres, deliveries and equipment
• Exceed customer care standards, service and satisfaction through excellent quality of work, advice and customer interaction.
• Advise customers about keeping tyres and exhausts in good condition
• Communicate effectively with the Centre Manager and team
• Identify any issues with equipment and vehicles and report to the Centre Manager at the earliest opportunity
• Understand and adhere to Company policies, procedures and Health and Safety obligations to ensure a safe, secure and legal work environment
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as shall from time to time be required by the Company, Centre Manager or Assistant Manager within the competency of the role and post holder
