About the Role

We are recruiting a Temporary Part-Time Payroll Officer to join our Finance Shared Services Centre in Belfast. Working as part of a dedicated Payroll Team, you will ensure accurate, timely processing of payroll for agency workers across the UK and Ireland. This role suits a detail-focused, organised individual who enjoys problem-solving and delivering high levels of accuracy.

You will play a key part in maintaining payroll integrity, ensuring compliance with legislation, and supporting branch and onsite teams with payroll queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for agency staff across multiple UK & ROI locations.
  • Perform weekly worker and placement exports to payroll systems, resolving any data errors.
  • Complete weekly payroll checks and reconcile payrolls.
  • Prepare and export timesheet files, ensuring all information is in the correct format.
  • Amend and correct transfer errors in line with payroll deadlines.
  • Process statutory payments and deduction orders.
  • Issue payslips and P45s.
  • Generate invoices as required.
  • Liaise with Branch and Onsite Teams to resolve payroll issues promptly.
  • Process holiday pay and record details accurately within the CRM system.
  • Handle payroll queries and escalate where necessary.
  • Support the Head of Payroll with any additional duties as required.

Desirable:

  • Previous payroll experience
  • Knowledge of processing weekly payroll cycles
  • Understanding of statutory deductions and payroll regulations
