WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
The following functional skills are covered during the Technical Services/Operations Placement Programme:
- Dairy Laboratory Testing Chemistry, Microbiology and sampling techniques.
- Specifications, customer requirements and product release criteria.
- Production KPIs trending, report and respond to variance trends.
- Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Internal Auditing audit design, completion and noncompliance.
- Production trials including trial report compilation dissemination of results and findings.
- Problem solving techniques.
- Develop and establish production procedures and PSOPs.
- Audit, monitor and maintain compliance with operational and technical PSOPs.
- Troubleshoot operational problems in areas such as quality, efficiency, product yields and consistency.
JOB DETAIL
- Predominately based at our Magheralin site, Moira with the possibility of travel to our other production facility in Llangefni, North Wales.
- Monday Friday 9am 5pm, 40 hours/week with paid lunch breaks (however a degree of flexibility may be required).
OUR EXPECTATION
- You have achieved a minimum 2:1 honours in unit modules undertaken to date in a technical, food related or science based degree discipline, towards a third level qualification.
- A self- motivated individual who has determination and drive to succeed.
- A first class communicator who has excellent interpersonal skills.
- With a can-do attitude you will have a commitment to support continuous improvement and change.
- A great team player who is also able to work unaccompanied.
- Able to prioritize multiple activities and to complete them to the expected level of detail and accuracy.
- I.T skills with a good understanding of all Microsoft Office packages.
