Talent Acquisition Partner – Fixed Term Contract – 6 Months
Contingent Workforce Function
About the Role
The Talent Acquisition team at Kainos plays a pivotal role in scaling our business by delivering seamless, strategic recruitment aligned with the evolving demands of our business units. Operating across the UK&I, Europe, and North America, we’re focused on building direct, agile sourcing strategies that ensure a first-class candidate experience – all while maintaining cost efficiency and quality of hire.
As a Talent Acquisition Partner (Senior Associate) focused on the Contingent Workforce, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end acquisition of high-quality contract and temporary talent across multiple regions and business units. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and a brand ambassador for Kainos, ensuring our contingent hiring strategies are delivered with excellence and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of contingent hiring plans
Partner with business units and your TA Manager to understand workforce plans and demand forecasts across regions. You’ll translate these into effective sourcing and delivery strategies for contingent roles, balancing speed, quality, and cost. - Ensure best-in-class candidate and contractor experience
Uphold a smooth, professional and values-led experience for candidates and contractors, from initial engagement to onboarding, ensuring alignment with our global TA processes and policies. - Supplier & vendor management
Adopt a ‘direct sourcing first’ approach where possible. When using external suppliers, ensure timely and effective engagement, managing relationships, performance, and governance. - Data-driven recruitment management
Leverage recruitment data and market insights to drive decisions, report on key KPIs (e.g. time to fill, cost per hire), and inform discussions with stakeholders. Identify blockers and escalate issues proactively to meet SLA targets. - Contribute to talent attraction & engagement strategies
Drive awareness of Kainos as an employer of choice for contingent talent. Support talent pooling initiatives and CRM engagement campaigns tailored to contract talent needs and market availability. - Optimise tooling & sourcing channels
Use our ATS and sourcing tools to manage the hiring process efficiently. Stay up to date on new tools, channels, and search techniques (e.g. Boolean, LinkedIn Recruiter, niche job boards) to continually enhance reach and speed of hire. - Collaborate and share insights
Participate in team knowledge-sharing, market updates, and recruitment trend discussions. Contribute to wider People Team projects and support process improvement efforts across the function. - Act as a strategic advisor
Become a trusted advisor to stakeholders across your aligned capabilities, offering insight into contingent workforce trends, availability, and sourcing strategies in local and international markets.
Essential Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a recruiter within an in-house Talent Acquisition team or as a lead agency recruiter with contingent/contract hiring exposure (desirable).
- Deep understanding of the contract/interim recruitment lifecycle and associated compliance or governance considerations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels.
- Confident using recruitment data and MI to drive performance and stakeholder decisions.
- Skilled in managing external suppliers and ensuring value-for-money through agency/vendor partnerships.
- Commercially minded with an understanding of sourcing strategies and market dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment tools, including applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and advanced sourcing techniques (e.g. Boolean).
- Highly proactive team player, able to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Previous experience supporting a contingent workforce or contractor hiring at scale.
- Exposure to global recruitment and workforce planning in multi-region organisations.
- Familiarity with IR35, contractor compliance, and global temporary workforce legislation.
