VANRATH are delighted to be working with a recognisable Public Sector employer in Lisburn who are currently undergoing a system transformation project. They are seeking a Systems Accountant to support the implementation project, enhance system reporting capability, and deliver value-added insights across the organisation. This is a contract role for an initial period of 6 months with a strong chance of developing into a longer-term opportunity, depending on performance and business requirements.
To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential to be a Qualified Accountant with previous experience in a project setting. If you are a project led Accountant with strong systems experience, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

About you
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong background in financial systems and reporting
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs
- Experience with system implementation or upgrade projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support and train finance staff on system use
What you’ll do
- Lead financial systems reporting and assist in system roll out
- Develop and validate financial and operational reports
- Cleanse, test and reconcile data during the transition phase
- Provide training and support to the wider finance function on new systems
- Analyse trends and generate actionable insights from financial data
- Support systems automation and identify opportunities for improvement
