Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs A-C (including English and Mathematics) or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience in similar roles working with older people
  • Must be flexible for evening, weekends, night and day shifts as per rota requirements
  • Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)
  • Up to date Immunisation records to complete a full occupational health review
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment

Responsibilities

  • Have an understanding of how to respond to and report disclosures and concerns of abuse in a robust and effective manner, as defined by relevant policies and procedures.
  • Deliver a service that meets all organisational and professional responsibilities and standards.
  • Promote and undertake personal care duties to support the hygiene and dignity of service users.
  • Assist with household and domestic duties, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
  • Provide support for daily routines, leisure activities, and outings, and assist with appointments and visits.
  • Contribute to and maintain accurate records, including care plans and review notes.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and supervision to ensure a collaborative and high-quality approach to care.
