Job Summary

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team in Keady, Northern Ireland. “Please Note: Whilst Mencap is a licenced sponsor, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role, as it does not meet the current minimum salary requirements for Skilled Worker sponsorship under Home Office guidelines” As a Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, youll play a vital role in their life. What we’re looking for: What we’re looking for: Someone who is caring and patient and has a genuine passion for supporting others. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.) You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting to social groups & activities. Personal care – helping people to get ready for the day. This will include support with medication and assisting with all aspects of personal care e.g. Showering and to use the bathroom. Contract options: Full-time: 37.5 hrs Shift times: All our services are 24hr care. We prepare therotas at least 4 weeks in advanceso you can still plan your personal and social life! Days: Between 07:00-22:00 AND Sleep-ins: 22:00-07:00 There is also a sleep-in availablewhere you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45. *All roles are subject to an enhanced disclosure check and registration with NISCC and suitable references.
