Job Title: Care Assistant / Support Worker
Location: Belfast
Care Setting: Supporting individuals with Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Complex Needs
Salary: £15.05 – £15.85 per hour
(Enhanced rates available for additional hours worked)
Hours:
Full-time, Permanent
Typical shifts are 8:00am – 8:00pm, three days per week, with one full weekend off every three weeks (rotational schedule).

Key Responsibilities:
-
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care with dignity, respect, independence, and choice at its core
-
Support service users in day-to-day living and integration into the community
-
Assist with personal care, daily routines, social activities, and life skills development
-
Support service users in setting and achieving individual goals
-
Observe and report changes in service users’ needs to senior staff
-
Participate in regular reviews and assessments of service users’ progress
-
Administer or support with medication in line with the organisation’s Medication Policy
-
Promote service user engagement and respond to concerns or suggestions in a sensitive, professional manner
Essential Criteria:
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including numeracy
-
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a caring role
-
Working knowledge of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities
-
Understanding of behaviours that challenge and how to support individuals effectively
