Join Our Team as a Floating Support Worker – Belfast
Project Base: Tarasis Support Services (Belfast)
Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week) evening and weekends. £12.50/hr.

Do you have a passion for helping young people thrive independently? We’re looking for dedicated Floating Support Workers to join our Support Services team—supporting Unaccompanied and Separated Children in or leaving care as they adjust to living independently in the community.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide practical and emotional support, in line with individual support plans and HSCT pathway/LAC plans.
• Advocate for young people—mentor, guide, and empower them to speak up for themselves.
• Carry out placement visits and help maintain accommodation standards.
• Collaborate with Belfast HSCT and other professionals during assessments and reviews.
• Support young people through transitions—care, housing, education, health, and more.
• Keep accurate records and take part in team meetings, training, and service development.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year experience supporting young people/adults (paid or voluntary).
• GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
• Flexible availability—evenings and weekends.
• Understanding of the challenges facing young people in and leaving care.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Empathy, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be NISCC-registered (or willing to register).
