The Job Summary:

Wrightbus is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that has seen significant expansion over the past year. We are seeking a Supplier Reclaim Manager to lead and oversee the full supplier reclaim process within the All Service One aftermarket division. The role is key to recouping costs from defective components, enforcing supplier accountability, and improving quality through proactive engagement and structured supplier performance management. The successful candidate will manage warranty returns, implement and enforce SLAs, carry out root cause investigations, and build strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams including Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, and Logistics.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage the full supplier reclaim process from claim initiation to resolution.
  • Recover warranty-related costs through structured invoicing and debit note systems.
  • Track, issue, and reconcile all financial documents tied to supplier claims.
  • Develop and enforce supplier SLAs, ensuring prompt responses and improved performance.
  • Chair regular supplier performance reviews and drive quality-related action plans.
  • Coordinate all supplier claim documentation and reporting for full traceability.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations and ensure corrective actions are carried out.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to compile evidence for reclaim submissions.
  • Oversee supplier returns, evaluate and resolve quality concerns.
  • Implement a tracking system for supplier returns and quality issues.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics like quality and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier performance and implemented corrective actions.
  • Investigate rejected materials to identify defect root causes.
  • Foster strong supplier relationships to support quality initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure timely corrective measures.
  • Ensure a high degree of detail and accuracy in all reporting and correspondence.
  • Provide regular performance updates and risk analysis on supplier reclaims.
  • Learning and Development Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with departments like Quality and Production to improve supplier quality.
  • Support the Quality team in verifying returned product standards.
  • Work alongside Procurement to ensure supplier accountability.
  • Report supplier return trends and quality concerns to senior leadership.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
  • Or A minimum of 10+ years working in a Supplier Quality management role
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a management role.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths at Grade C or above.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supplier management, warranty, or quality-related role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve targets and continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier quality processes and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, report writing and presentation preparation.
  • Solid understanding of financial recovery processes (debit notes, invoicing, reconciliations).
