Key Responsibilities:
Our client – is looking for a highly organised and self-motivated Stores & Materials Coordinator to become part of our dynamic engineering team in Limavady. This practical, hands-on position plays a crucial role in overseeing inventory levels, managing incoming deliveries, and maintaining the smooth operation of our yard and workshop. You’ll assist with both workshop and site-based tasks, helping to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and log deliveries; update internal inventory records.
- Keep inventory records accurate and ensure items are properly labelled and stored.
- Organise materials for ongoing projects and inform relevant teams upon receipt.
- Prepare goods for shipment and coordinate courier services.
- Keep the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and well-organised.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials.
- Communicate with suppliers and schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Assist in implementing Kanban systems and lean stock management methods.
- Follow all health, safety, and quality protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar stores or materials handling role.
- Excellent organisational abilities and clear communication skills.
- A valid forklift licence (or willingness to train and certify).
- Competence with inventory systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledge of engineering or construction materials (preferred).
