We are currently hiring Steel Fabricators for an industry leader in the Building Services sector, your hours will be Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00.
Competitive rates of pay based on experience. with overtime available at 1.5
You will be required to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements from workshop drawings, using?a variety of?welds, i.e., TIG, MMA and MAG.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
- Fabricate and weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon and/or stainless steel ranging from 65mm 150mm)
- Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard.?
- Complete Cross Training in various welding activities.
- Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
- Use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment.
- General workshop duties
Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience working as a fabricator welder in Pipe Fabrication and Welding.
- The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
- Able to use Shop floor hand tools.
- Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.?
- Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment.
