The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join Trócaire’s Standards and Compliance Unit (SCU), part of our Corporate Services division. The SCU plays an important role in making sure accountability is at the heart of everything we do and in supporting the organisation to remain resilient and well-prepared for the future.
As Standards & Compliance Project and Governance Lead, you will take the lead on key projects such as the rollout of Trócaire’s Risk Management Framework and strengthening business continuity practices. You will also provide vital support to governance processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory, governance and donor requirements.
This role offers the chance to work with colleagues across the organisation in a supportive and collaborative team, while helping to ensure Trócaire continues to deliver its mission of tackling poverty and injustice around the world.

Requirements
We’d love if you bring strong experience in governance, risk, compliance or project management, ideally with at least three years in a similar role. You’ll be comfortable leading projects, producing clear documentation, and supporting effective governance processes. Strong organisational and communication skills will help you work with colleagues across different teams and cultures, and an ability to deliver training or facilitate workshops will be a real advantage. A relevant qualification in business, risk, governance or international development (or equivalent experience) will also be very beneficial.

You will report to the Standards and Compliance Manager. The job opportunity will be offered on a fixed term contract for maternity cover for (duration of contract) [MM1] and is based in Maynooth or Belfast.
