About the Role
Total Care Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Coordinator to lead the Family Support Team within the Ballymena area.This role plays a key part in coordinating parenting and family support services across three centres in the Ballymena and Antrim area.
As Service Coordinator, you will be the lead contact for one of our Sure Start centres, ensuring high standards of safeguarding, child development practice, health & safety, and partnership working. Youll drive delivery outcomes and inspire your team to create positive change in the lives of children aged 04 and their families.
About the Project
the service offers a range of play, learning, parenting and health services from pre-birth up to age four, through a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary approach. We work collaboratively with local statutory, voluntary and community organisations to ensure responsive, impactful services in our catchment areas.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team delivering early intervention services for children and families

Develop parenting support programmes and family services across multiple locations

Ensure operational excellence, including strategic planning and resource management

Act as the site lead, maintaining compliance with childcare legislation, safeguarding, and health & safety

Oversee assessments, case planning and reviews to ensure high-quality support

Mentor and supervise staff, supporting professional growth and team development

Foster strong multi-agency partnerships and effective collaboration
Essential Criteria
-
Significant experience working with children and families in a multi-agency setting

Proven leadership and team management experience

Working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and childcare legislation

Experience developing and delivering support services for children aged 04 years

Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage teams

Experience of effective partnership working

Full UK driving licence and access to a car (reasonable adjustments made under Equality Act)
