Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Employment Basis: Permanent Full Time
Location: Portadown
Driving Licence Required: Yes (reasonable adjustments considered)
Key Objective:
Oversee the commercial performance of construction projects, ensuring value for money, quality compliance, and profitability across all stages.
Core Responsibilities:

Prepare valuations, cost value reports, and final accounts (Client & Subcontractors).

Monitor project cash flow and applications for payments.

Handle subcontract tendering, procurement, and contract documentation.

Manage and negotiate subcontractor agreements, ensuring appropriate costing.

Lead monthly commercial and progress review meetings.
-
Submit and track variations and contra-charges.

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to align on costs and specifications.

Maintain accurate records: valuation registers, payment certifications, procurement documentation.

Assist in tender preparation and contract document compilation.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
-
3rd-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or equivalent.

810 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying on Commercial, Residential & Retail projects (up to £10m in value).

Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms.
Desirable:

Membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
