A market-leading consultancy is looking for a Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced acoustics professional to take on a senior role delivering a wide range of building acoustics, environmental noise, and infrastructure projects, while supporting business development and team leadership.

As a Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant, you will be responsible for project management, client liaison, and technical delivery. You will work on high-profile projects across sectors such as commercial buildings, transport, and residential developments, while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the consultancy’s expansion in Ireland.

Duties for the role of Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant include:

Leading acoustic assessments, noise and vibration modelling, and technical reporting

Managing project delivery across multiple sectors

Developing and maintaining client relationships

Supporting business development and proposal writing

Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members

Attending site visits and client meetings across Ireland and the UK

Skills and experience required for the role of Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant:

6+ years of consultancy experience in acoustics

Strong knowledge of building acoustics, environmental noise, and industry standards (e.g. BS4142, BS8233, BB93)

Proficiency with software such as CadnaA or SoundPLAN

Degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Physics, or related subject

Chartered status (IOA or equivalent) desirable

Full UK/Irish driving licence
