Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Were working with a well-established engineering firm in Omagh, Co. Tyronethat specialises in heavy machinery manufacturing. They’re growing steadily and now need an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to take a senior role in the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking the lead on design projects, mentoring junior engineers, and working on heavy machinery. Youll be hands-on from the initial concept stage right through to build and installation giving you full visibility over the design and manufacturing process.

What youll be doing:

• Leading mechanical design projects from start to finish

• Creating 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks

• Working closely with production and site teams to ensure smooth build and install

• Solving engineering problems and improving existing designs

• Helping guide and support junior designers and apprentices

What theyre looking for:

• Strong background in mechanical design of heavy machinery

• Proficiency with SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software)

• Comfortable working with fabrications, assemblies, and mechanical systems
