Hays are working with a prominent public sector body in the appointment of a PO7Directorate: Finance and Support Services which will reports to: Head of Strategic Financial Management.
The role of a Senior Finance Business Partner and play a pivotal role in shaping strategic financial management across the organisation.
You’ll lead the Finance Business Partnering function, providing expert financial advice to senior teams, driving value-for-money outcomes, and ensuring robust financial governance. This role also oversees the Procurement-to-Pay function and supports corporate financial strategy development.

Your new role
- Deliver strategic financial planning and governance
- Lead and manage the Finance Business Partner team
- Oversee procurement compliance and contract management
- Provide high-level financial insight and reporting
- Deputise for the Head of Strategic Financial Management
- Drive continuous improvement and service transformation
What you’ll need to succeed
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a middle-management role within a large, complex organisation
- Proven leadership in finance teams
- Strong analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driving licence and access to transport
