Senior Estimator

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected construction company based in Newry. This is a fantastic senior-level opportunity for an experienced Estimator to play a key strategic role in the company’s continued growth.
As Senior Estimator, you’ll take full ownership of the estimating function working closely with senior leadership, commercial, pre-construction, and delivery teams. You’ll be instrumental in pricing major projects, developing tender strategies, and leading high-value bids from start to finish.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the estimating process across large-scale projects
- Prepare detailed cost plans, tenders, and submissions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and supply chain partners
- Analyse subcontractor pricing and manage procurement input
- Support and mentor junior estimators
- Attend handover meetings and contribute to project planning
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a senior estimating role (ideally within building or civil construction)
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to price from first principles
- Experience working on frameworks and major tenders
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
