Salary: NJC Scale 58 (£24,790£25,992 pro rata)
Working hours: 36 hours/week (MonFri)

We are seeking a Science Technician to support the practical delivery of science education at Larne Grammar School. This is a term-time only position, ideal for someone with a passion for science, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to safety.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English, Maths, and a Science subject) OR have experience of laboratory technician work in a paid capacity.
- Working knowledge of health & safety and risk assessments.
- Excellent planning and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- A Level in a science subject
- Previous similar laboratory experience
- Familiarity of CLEAPSS
- Experience of organising and scheduling work
- Strong ICT skills
- Post-primary school experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain lab equipment and materials.
- Support teachers during science lessons and practicals.
- Maintain health and safety standards.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and administration.
