We are currently hiring a Robot Welder for an industry leader in the Building Services sector. Your hours will be Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:30 Friday 07:00-13:30.
Competitive rates of pay based on experience. with overtime available at 1.5
Key Responsibilities
- Read and fully understand the drawings for each project.
- Welding a range of pipe arrangements from shop drawings, primarily using GMAW techniques.
- Weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel ranging from 125mm 500mm) from shop drawings.
- Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and Welding is carried out to the correct standard.
- To undertake training in line with company standards.
- Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience Programming, Setting and Operating a Robot Welding Machine in an Engineering Environment.
- To have an in-depth knowledge of Weld Defects.
- Experience efficiently troubleshooting and resolving problems that may arise during the welding process.
- The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
- Confident in understanding shopfloor drawings
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Welder, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG.
- Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment
