To work closely with will work closely with landowners and stakeholders to conduct environmental surveys, develop management plans, and oversee practical site improvement works and engage with local communities and develop a volunteer network. Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage with landowners, farmers, and stakeholders to promote conservation efforts
    and environmental stewardship.
  2. Conduct environmental surveys to assess habitat quality, water quality, biodiversity,
    and ecological impact.
  3. Create quotation/tender documentation for environmental surveys, management
    plans and site works and oversee these contracts.
  4. Create designs and plans to deliver restoration or habitat improvement projects.
  5. Coordinate and oversee practical site improvement work, including riparian habitat
    restoration, invasive species control, and sustainable land-use practices.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental projects, ensuring
    compliance with relevant policies and funding requirements.
  7. Provide technical advice and guidance on land management practices to enhance
    biodiversity, water quality and ecosystem resilience.
  8. Work with volunteers, contractors, and partner organizations to deliver conservation
    projects.
  9. Prepare reports, grant applications, and funding proposals to support project
    sustainability.
  10. Keep up to date with environmental legislation, best practices, and emerging trends
    in conservation.
  11. To maintain good relationships and communication between the Partnership and its
    members and promote the work of the Partnership.
  12. To present information (oral and written) about the work of the Partnership.
  13. To represent the Belfast Hills Partnership at meetings and events as required.
  14. To work with other staff and volunteers to carry out any other duties required for the
    effective operation of the Partnership and its projects.

Location:Belfast Hills Offices, Hannahstown

Salary: £35,919 to £37,855 [depending on level of experience]

Contract Type: Full time contract until end of March 2028, subject to funding
