RECYCLING OPERATIVE
Full time / Permanent / Ref: RO/07/25
Location: 91 Moy Road, Portadown
Shifts: Day shift, 10am-7pm (40hrs/week)
Monday to Friday (inc. Saturdays, when required)
Shift patterns will be discussed at interview
We are looking to appoint a Recycling Operative for the day shift in our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), at our RiverRidge site in Portadown.
Roles & Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities to include:
-Responsibility for picking and segregating both recyclable and non-recyclable materials within a busy MRF.
-Ensure quality and recovery rates are maximised
-Ensure compliance with statutory and company obligations, & Health & Safety.
-Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
-Ensure daily housekeeping rules are adhered to at all times.
-Adhere to the principles of Manual Handling at all times.
-Using software to support more efficient methods of quality control /analysis of our waste streams/waste process
-Any other duties as deemed reasonable by Supervisors /Management
Essential Criteria
-Good organisational skills
-Good communication skills – both written and verbal
-Ability to work well on own initiative
-Be self-motivated
-Ability to work well with others
-Flexible approach to work hours
Desirable Criteria
-Previous experience within a Waste Industry
-Manual Handling Training Certificate
-Banksman Training Certificate and experience of performing Banksman
