Overall Purpose of the Role: The successful candidate will manage one of the teams responsible for the management of end-to-end recruitment campaigns for a large public sector client. The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the effective processing of recruitment tasks, and maintaining high standards of service delivery, in accordance with SLAs and KPIs. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement and team motivation. Key Responsibilities: Team Management: Manage a team responsible for the delivery of volume recruitment activities in accordance with policies, procedures and customer requirements for a large public sector client. To lead and maintain a positive and motivated team by working with resourcing administrators to fulfil both individual and team responsibilities and producing individual performance targets. Manage KPIs and SLA performance of your team in line with contractual standards. Conduct regular team meetings, providing guidance and addressing any challenges faced by team members. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and feedback within the team. To be responsible for managing annual leave for all direct reports ensuring there is adequate resource to meet service delivery requirements Performance Monitoring: To set and review individual and team performance through objective setting and regular performance appraisals. To conduct appropriate quality checking of the work of the team administrators as required, in accordance with BA compliance. Provide constructive feedback and conduct performance evaluations for team members. Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide coaching to team members to enhance their skills and performance. Facilitate onboarding for new team members and ensure they are familiar with processes and tools. Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with internal stakeholders, including recruiters and resourcing managers, to understand their needs and provide effective support. Answering and responding to queries from Recruiters, Resourcing Managers and other internal departments as required. Workflow Management and delivery: Monitor and manage the workflow and delivery of recruitment administration processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks. Assist with investigations as and when required for management for complaints, incidents and FOI requests as and when required Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving recruitment administration processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to optimise team performance. Personal Responsibility: Maintain a high level of personal responsibility throughout the management process, ensuring accountability and integrity in all actions. Promote a culture of excellence and responsibility within the team, encouraging team members to take ownership of their tasks. Be proactive in personal development, of yourself and administrators, contributing fully with performance management and development processes. Other tasks may be assigned to the role over time based on business need and following consultation with the postholder. Merit list may be used to fill similar vacancies in future. What we are looking for: Experience, Skills & Knowledge Essential Experience Experience of either managing or leading a team in a Shared Service Centre or similar environment Experience of working to achieve service level agreements and key performance indicators within a Shared Service Centre or similar environment Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects or work activities within agreed timescales whilst maintaining accuracy. Experience of engagement with clients Highly IT literate including experience of using Microsoft packages, such as the use of outlook, word and excel. Desirable Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices. Either be CIPD qualified or be willing to work towards the qualification. Experience of using an applicant tracking system Other: Role will require job holder to successfully undertake security vetting up to Counter Terrorist Check level.
