Receptionist – Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council
Location: Civic Centre, Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, BT27 4RL
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £13.69 Per Hour
Role Overview
We are recruiting a professional and friendly Receptionist to join Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council at the Civic Centre.
You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, supporting daily front-of-house operations, managing bookings, and assisting with general administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Welcome visitors, staff and contractors in a professional manner
✅ Answer calls, handle queries and transfer calls appropriately
✅ Manage meeting room and event bookings at the Civic Centre
✅ Maintain visitor logs and ensure site security procedures are followed
✅ Assist with general administrative and clerical duties
✅ Handle incoming and outgoing mail
✅ Provide excellent customer service at all times
✅ Ideal Candidate

Previous reception or front-of-house experience in an office, council, or hospitality environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Confident using Microsoft Office Suite and phone systems
