Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager Civil Engineering

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager to join their team in Fermanagh. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to take responsibility for both the commercial and delivery aspects of diverse civil engineering projects across Northern Ireland and beyond.

You will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and project delivery to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of projects from tender to final account

• Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates, valuations, and progress reports

• Oversee contract administration, procurement, and subcontractor management

• Monitor budgets and costs to ensure profitability and cost control

• Lead project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking

• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and site teams to ensure project objectives are met

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and company procedures

• Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing value engineering solutions

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor and/or Project Manager role within civil engineering

• Strong understanding of NEC and other standard forms of contract

• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills

• Proficient in MS Office and industry-relevant software

• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
