Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager Civil Engineering

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager to join their team in Fermanagh. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to take responsibility for both the commercial and delivery aspects of diverse civil engineering projects across Northern Ireland and beyond.
You will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and project delivery to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all commercial aspects of projects from tender to final account

Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates, valuations, and progress reports

Oversee contract administration, procurement, and subcontractor management

Monitor budgets and costs to ensure profitability and cost control

Lead project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and site teams to ensure project objectives are met

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and company procedures

Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing value engineering solutions
Requirements

Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management

Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor and/or Project Manager role within civil engineering

Strong understanding of NEC and other standard forms of contract

Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills

Proficient in MS Office and industry-relevant software

Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
