New opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a leading fabrication and engineering company based in Portadown.
Our client is a well-established, family-run business specialising in mild steel, stainless steel and structural steelwork, delivering high-quality fabrication services across the food manufacturing, industrial and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their expanding team. This role offers a competitive salary of £35,000£40,000, depending on experience, along with a performance-based bonus scheme. The working hours are 7.30am -16.45pm Monday- Thursday and 7.30am 12.30pm on Fridays.
Main duties will include:
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and detailed quotations for fabrication and installation projects.
- Analysing tender documents, drawings and specifications.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Submitting tenders and following up with clients, including negotiating terms where appropriate.
- Monitoring and controlling project costs and variations.
- Identifying new tender opportunities and contributing to business development.
- Conducting onsite meetings and assisting with confirmation of measurements and dimensions.
What We Need From You
- HNC/HND or a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or Engineering.
- Relevant experience in a similar Quantity Surveying or Estimating role.
- Strong understanding of mild steel, stainless steel and structural steel products and fabrication processes.
- Excellent commercial awareness and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is an advantage.
