This is your opportunity, as an enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor, to work at the forefront of the UK’s most high-profile construction and infrastructure projects – from major airports and urban developments to iconic commercial, education, and residential builds. In this role, you’ll help deliver outcomes that matter – for clients, communities, and the environment.
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
As a key part of the Cost Management leadership team, you will:
- Deliver exceptional cost management and quantity surveying services across complex property and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Use your knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts and industry benchmarks to drive cost-efficient, data-informed decisions.
- Leverage tools such as Power BI, Oracle, and more to support cost and project performance analysis.
- Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering continuous development.
- Contribute to strategic service delivery and business development, aligned with long-term growth goals.
- Be a champion of innovation, performance measurement (e.g., Earned Value Management), and sustainable project delivery.
Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:
- A degree-qualified professional in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate experience in cost consultancy.
- Proven ability to lead cost management on complex infrastructure or property projects.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, and a deep understanding of industry best practices and cost structures.
- A collaborative leader with a desire to mentor others and grow sector-focused delivery teams.
- A strong communicator with a developing network in the UK infrastructure or property market.
