Quality Technician / Quality Engineer – Portadown (Manufacturing / Aerospace)
CLIENT
VANRATH are partnering with a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Portadown who supply into high-spec aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Quality Technician / Quality Engineer to support Quality Management and drive continuous improvement within production.
The Ideal Person
* Previous experience in engineering manufacturing (precision, aerospace, CNC, fabrication or similar)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience with metrology tools (calipers / micrometers etc)
* Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Quality and Engineering teams
Desirable
* Experience within a Quality role (PPAP / FAIR / NCR / Root Cause etc)
* Knowledge of AS9100
* Six Sigma green belt
* Degree / HNC / HND
Responsibilities
* Support Quality Manager in audit activity and continuous improvement of the QMS
* Carry out internal audits and assist with customer / supplier / AS9100 audits
* Support PPAP activities (MSA, SPC, PFMEA, PCP, FAIR)
* Manage NCRs, root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D / 5 Whys / A3)
* Support reduction of scrap, rework and non-value add activity
* Support supplier quality investigations and drive zero defect improvements
* Assist with quality reporting, KPI tracking and MRB activities

Hours
Mon-Thu: 07:00-16:00 (or 08:00-17:15)
Fri: 07:00-12:00 (or 08:00-12:00)
