Quality Manager
Job Summary / Job Purpose
Provide effective leadership and management of the Shift QA Team to achieve site compliance with the Technical policies, procedure standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the site quality system, records and factory compliance is audit ready 24/07/365, including produce traceability and mass balance
- Analyse non-conformance data for trends and set in place action plans to address
- Manage Holds
- Deliver team training
- Co-ordinate various technical improvement projects
- Co-ordinate continuous improvement trials
- Ensure inspection and test equipment is accurate and maintained
- Ensure root cause analysis and preventative measures are put in place for investigated complaints
- Management of various Technical contractors, for example, Pest Control
- Order and maintain supply of quality consumables
- Perform stand in duties for the Technical Manager
- Develop as stand in for the Quality Manager
- Work with NPD to ensure that new product launch within the factory is a seamless process between NPD with the incorporation into the plant QMS
- QA Manager need top deputise for the Technical Manager when external bodies are auditing the site
Key Deliverables / Key Results Areas (KRAs) / Key Measures of Success
1. All external audits no critical or major NCs, <10 minor NCs
2. All internal audits to be completed as per the schedule and NCs to be closed out as per the timelines set
3. All pest control actions to be closed out within the timelines set
4. All customer complaints to be investigated fully within timelines set
5. All quality improvement plans to be instigated within timelines set
6. All CCP validations to be successfully completed as per the risk assessment timelines
Qualifications, Experience & IT Skills
Essential:
- Experience of Quality System Auditing
- L3 Food HACCP
- L3 Food Safety
- BRC and major retailer audit experience
- Pest Control
- Continuous Improvement Use of quality tools
Desirable:
- Degree level minimum in a related discipline, e.g. Food Science, Quality Systems
- Third Part & Internal Lead Auditor
- Leadership of a small team within an FMCG environment
