We are recruiting a skilled and experienced Joiner to join our client’s manufacturing team, producing high-quality PVC and aluminium windows and doors. The successful candidate will use their joinery skills in a factory-based setting, contributing to the assembly, fitting, and finishing of bespoke products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install PVC and aluminium components according to technical specifications and production drawings.
- Use a range of joinery tools and machinery, including saws, routers, drills, and jigs, to fabricate frames and units.
- Fit hardware such as hinges, handles, locks, and gaskets to windows and doors with precision and accuracy.
- Carry out quality checks on all products to ensure high standards are met.
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions, complying with all health and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues in production to ensure efficient workflow and meet deadlines.
- Interpret cutting lists, technical drawings, and fabrication schedules.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum X years of experience as a joiner, carpenter, or bench joiner in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Proven experience working with PVC and/or aluminium window and door systems.
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques and use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists.
- Good level of spoken and written English (to meet Skilled Worker visa requirements).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Desirable Criteria:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Joinery, Carpentry, or a related trade.
- Familiarity with production line or assembly work in a factory setting.
