Ashton Recruitment require a Production Operative for immediate start for our busy client based in Belfast.
Position: Production Operative
Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £15.33 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday
Week 1 – Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm & Friday 6am to 4pm
Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 1.30pm – 11.30pm
Duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Weighing ingredients, assembling pallets of bags, ripping and tipping bags, working bagging lines
- Perform various manual operational activities and/or operates basic machinery / tools
- Perform basic checks and controls on materials, like checking weights, size, visual checks etc. Signals deviations with supervisor
- Cleans all equipment and work environment
- Working as part of a team, discussing work with colleagues and supervisor
- Provides information when asked, follows-up instructions and guidance from colleagues and supervisor
- Works in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures, as well as technical standards
- Signals potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in warehouse/ production environment
- Good understanding of English due health & safety of working conditions
- Ability to work hours required i.e 6am starts & 11.30pm finishes (on weekly rotation)
- Previous experience working with feed or ingredients
Desirable Criteria:
- Health & safety accreditation
