Job Summary

Alison Gray Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a leading precast concrete manufacturer based just outside Ballymena.We are currently recruiting for a ProductionOperative to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will coordinate and control batches of concrete mix to meet specification, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Pay:£14.04 per hour

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday (6am6pm; Saturday 6am5pm)
  • Week 2: TuesdayThursday (6am6pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate computer-controlled batching plant as part of a team
  • Ensure concrete quality meets required specifications
  • Perform pre-use checks and follow safety procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, including end-of-shift wash downs
  • Conduct pre-start checks and report maintenance issues
  • Meet production deadlines with punctuality and reliability
  • Comply with Health & Safety standards and company policies

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of COSHH regulations
  • Ability to work in a busy factory environment
  • Willingness to learn and carry out product testing
  • Knowledge of workplace health & safety and PPE usage

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in concrete, chemical, or production environments
  • Familiarity with quality assurance or lean manufacturing processes
