Reporting to the site Operations Manager you will be responsible for data compliance and control. You will be directly responsible for the standardization and implementation of best practice Production Control methods with a goal to hit production targets, reduce inventory and maintain system integrity at the Ballymoney facility to enable a high level of inventory accuracy. Ownership for the near and future term capacity & material planning ensuring customer demand is managed to reduce lead times and ensure on time delivery.Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Enforcing a data driven culture throughout the organization.
- Developing and improving standard business processes to actively increase information accuracy.
- Develop and report accurate KPI reporting disciplines to drive improvement.
- Maintain manufacturing BOM’s, routings and system parameters.
- ECO/PCO scheduling and management.
- Recognizing opportunities for system enhancement within ERP functionality, developing processes to increase information accuracy.
- Business forecast management and ensure right first time demand for MRP planning.
- Establish and maintain processes and procedures to ensure production/supply planning accuracy and performance.
- Inventory analysis and management as required.
- Order management and full factory scheduling ownership.
- S&OP Supply planning ownership including Capacity Planning / RTO (Required to operate).
- Budget responsibility for direct headcount projection and monitoring.
- Use of Lean manufacturing tools within the Terex Business System, focusing on Elimination of Waste (Muda), 5S & Visual Management, Kaizen, Level Production (Takt), Material and Assembly Flow, Pull Systems, Inventory Control, Plan for every Part, Just in Time, Jidoka, Kanban, Standardised work.
- Developing team members to be customer driven.
- Configurator enhancement and management.
- Driving best practice manufacturing bill of material processes from creation to maintenance.
- Implementing standard work processes within the department.
- Driving standard costing adherence and identify opportunities for ongoing improvements.
- Monitor and communicate timely information when schedules change, and proactively manage and implement recovery plans.
- Ensure steady production process adherence, including build to schedule and on time delivery.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent within Manufacturing / Engineering function.
- Previous experience in a senior position, leading people within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Experience leading, training, developing and motivating teams.
- Demonstrate a high level of experience and knowledge with all aspects of ERP systems.
- Ability to demonstrate experience of creating systems as a successful agent for change which improved system integrity.
- Proven track record and practical experience of lean manufacturing tools and techniques and their application is essential.
- Proven experience of coaching and driving lean principles.
- Experience leading TIPs or Kaizen events is essential.
- Proven project management experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills are all essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Process driven and ability to show high level of courage.
- Excellent IT Skills, specifically with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and Oracle.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Must be adaptable with the ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities without losing sight of targets.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Good general knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
- Ability to learn quickly, use your initiative and work collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team.
- Self-motivated and action oriented.
- Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.
- Highest level of integrity
