An excellent opportunity for a Product Engineer to join a global manufacturer. Reporting to the Product Manager you will assist in the development of product specifications and the design of purpose built tooling.

The Role
- Leading the introduction of internally designed products into the business.
- Developing ideas from concept through to manufacture by creating 3D CAD models
- Creating and modifying technical drawings and product specifications, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product costings to enable manufacture.
- Selecting and sourcing appropriate third-party components to be used with designs.
- Ensuring newly developed products comply with customer specifications, regulatory standards and performance levels specified for safety, function and reliability.
- Aiding production in the development of jigs/fixtures to support the manufacture of newly designed products.
- Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability and customer satisfaction.
The Person
- Degree in an engineering related subject ideally mechanical
- AutoCAD experience
- 2 year’s experience in a similar position
