To gain a full understanding of poultry in MP.
• Manage the day to day operations of the Purchasing & Stores team with the aim of
achieving value for money in all purchasing in line with organisation’s
procedures
• Contribute to the department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this
area in line with MP competency framework.
• To manage a team of people within the purchasing & Stores department.
• Build and Maintain relationships with key suppliers ensuring we receive best
service.
• Work with Stores and Operations to achieve a high level of stock accuracy to
agreed targets.
• Lead by example in promoting a harmonious working environment in line
with the Company’s policies in Equal Opportunities, Harassment and code of
ethics.
• Maintain and uphold all aspects of Company HR policies in particular
standards of discipline, communication and industrial relations.
• Optimise staffing levels needed to run efficiently and deliver strategic profit
improvement plans.
• Develop, train, coach and motivate the team, in conjunction with the HR
department and carry out annual performance reviews.
• Ensure hygiene and H&S standards are met.
• Responsible for management of resources within budgetary constraints.
• Actions to be carried out to meet department KPI’s.
• Completion and understanding of Risk assessments.
• Ensuring external audit standards are met.
• Team Development – appropriately assess the training needs of your team.
• Appraisals completed annually with team.
• Any other reasonable duties as may be required
• To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental
impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area
and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
