Job Overview
The Process Technician is responsible for providing area co-ordination and technical expertise within the Thermoforming & Extrusion department focusing on process optimization, product changeovers, machine adjustments, verification of product quality standards and informed technical fault finding.
The Technician will be trained in GPUK processes, including the operation of equipment, machine process & operational settings, changeover procedures, quality standards andspecifications.
Effective communication of information within the Shift management / technician structure and across the various shift patterns is a key part of the role. This role will have a focus on continuous improvement and participate as appropriate in continuous improvement activity.
Your profile
Essential
- 3+ years relevant experience as a Machine Operator
- Logical Thinker
- Evidence of strong technical competence
- IT Literate & proficient with Microsoft, SAP & digital equipment
- Possess good communication skills and have a keen willingness to learn/lead others
- 12 months experience in production process, preferably the relevant technology/process i.e., extrusion/forming/IML/Decoration
Preferable
- Thermoforming & Extrusion experience
- Experience of a continuous improvement environment
Skills & Abilities
- Flexibility in relation to shifts
- Technical proficiency with hand tools & Machine HMI screens
