PEAT+ Peatland Officers (x2 roles available)
We’re looking for passionate and practical Peatland Officers to join the PEAT+ Project. Led by Ulster Wildlife in collaboration with cross-border partners, PEAT+ aims to restore degraded peatlands, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance biodiversity while engaging local communities in nature-based solutions for a resilient future.
As a Peatland Officer, you’ll be part of a dedicated restoration team delivering a pipeline of on-the-ground projects to improve the conservation status of key peatland sites, including:
Frosses Bog ASSI, Springmount Bog, Slieveanorra and Croaghan ASSI, Carn/Glenshane ASSI, Teal Lough ASSI, Haugheys Bog, and Moneygal Bog ASSI.
There are two roles available, one based in Belfast and one based in An Creagan, Omagh.
Salary: £24,023 – £27,983 gross per annum. Access to employer’s contributory pension scheme – maximum of 10% per annum.
These are full-time, fixed term posts to 31 March 2029.
