About Us

Based in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, Wilson’s Country Ltd specialises in pre-packed, peeled and processed potatoes. We supply food retailers, caterers and food processing companies with a range of products, offering quality, taste, full traceability and value for money.

We are currently seeking part time quality assurance technicians to join our team. The successful candidates will be contracted for either 2 or 3 days per week, which will include Saturday work on a rotational basis, and the specific working pattern can be discussed at interview.

Role Overview

As a Part Time Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing tests, and maintaining accurate records to guarantee compliance with regulations and internal quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on raw materials and finished products
• Perform various tests such as grading potatoes, destructive tests on samples and finished product evaluations and analyses
• Record and document all findings accurately and in accordance with the quality management procedures
• Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to the relevant stakeholders
• Assist in investigating root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality processes

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quality assurance role within a food production environment is necessary
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene as well as quality control procedures and standards
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels
• Relevant qualifications in a related field would be advantageous
