Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of our client, for a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality financial management, reporting, and compliance across a range of accounting functions. Reporting to an Accounting Manager, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial information, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Your new role
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow reportsSupport budget development, forecasting, and variance analysisOversee capital expenditure, asset management, and depreciationManage cash flow, liquidity, and investment activitiesSupervise accounts payable and receivable processesMonitor and report on grant income and complianceEnsure adherence to financial regulations and support audit processesConduct financial analysis to support decision-makingEngage with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial guidanceContribute to policy development and continuous improvement initiativesMentor and support junior finance staff
What you’ll need to succeed
Full membership of a recognised professional accountancy body (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial management, accounting, or auditingStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulationsProficiency in financial systems and Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsA full UK driving licence or access to suitable transport
