Parks Operative £13.91/hour

Location: Belfast

Were hiring Parks Operatives to help maintain Belfasts parks and open spaces ensuring they stay clean, safe, and looking their best all year round.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate vehicles (van, trailer, tractor, mower)

• General park maintenance: mowing, pruning, hedge trimming, planting

• Litter removal, basic repairs, and playground inspections

• Use powered tools and garden machinery

• Assist with public events and provide support on-site

• Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean and in safe working order

What You Need:

• Full, valid C1+E driving licence

• At least 1 year of experience in:

  • Gardening and horticultural duties

  • Using powered hand tools and equipment safely

  • Dealing with the public in person

• Ability to pass a driving assessment (unless completed within the last year)

Desirable Skills:

• Clear communication and teamwork

• Understanding of health and safety responsibilities

• Technical knowledge of tools, plants, and maintenance

• A customer-focused approach
