Operations Manager (Facilities Management – Soft Services)

Location: Covering Northern & Southern Ireland

Salary: Up to £45,000 per year (dependent on experience) + car allowance

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and support our soft services contracts across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

In this role, you’ll oversee Cleaning and Security services across multiple client sites, ensuring excellent service delivery, strong client relationships, and efficient operational performance.

You’ll manage and develop site-based teams, monitor contract performance, and help drive improvements that support the continued growth of Horizon Property Support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations across multiple contracts
  • Handle recruitment, performance, and absence management
  • Plan and allocate resources to meet client needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and site teams
  • Monitor budgets, KPIs, and compliance with health & safety standards
  • Identify and implement service improvements and efficiencies
  • Support new business activities, including tenders and mobilisations

About You

We’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused leader with proven experience in facilities management or soft services operations.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing multi-site or multi-client operations
  • Strong understanding of FM standards, processes, and compliance
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and lead diverse teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel

Desirable

  • Experience in additional soft services (e.g. waste, pest control, grounds, reception)
  • Background in client retention, sales, or business growth
  • Valid SIA and/or PSA licence (training and accreditation support provided)

Working Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday.

Flexibility required for occasional evenings, weekends, and emergencies outside normal working hours.
