Operations Manager – Food Manufacturing

Overview:
A leading food manufacturing group is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to take ownership of site operations across production, planning, people management, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, team performance, and strategic improvements across the factory network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all production-related teams from end to end.
- Take full ownership of factory operations, including planning, stock control, process control, housekeeping, and customer order fulfilment.
- Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency gains and waste reduction through continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
- Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are maintained across all departments.
- Collaborate with internal support functions, including Technical, Maintenance, Finance, Planning, and Logistics, to ensure operational success.
- Develop and lead cross-functional project management programs for ongoing process improvement.
- Manage performance reporting against KPIs for production, quality, and safety.
- Champion staff development, succession planning, and training across the site.
- Ensure accurate stock acceptance, feedback to suppliers, and communication with planning teams.
- Support site leadership in the achievement of business growth and service delivery targets.
