Office / Operations Support Manager Administration & Logistics (Excellent Development Opportunity)
Express Cooling Service Ltd. is a growing, specialist business with over 25 years of expertise in air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical services, with particular strength in the agri-food and dairy sectors.
We are seeking a highly organised Office / Operations Support Manager to oversee administration, logistics, and office management, while supporting field engineers and helping to implement a new integrated business system that will underpin the companys next phase of growth.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong operations management, administration, and business support experience who is looking to develop their career in a dynamic and expanding company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations and provide direct strategic support to the Owner/Director.
- Act as the key point of contact with clients, suppliers, field engineers, and office staff.
- Oversee job scheduling, prioritisation, and the rollout of new admin and finance software systems.
- Support engineers with logistics, equipment, and spare parts coordination.
- Manage stock control, barcode/QR systems, and ensure accurate stock movement tracking for invoicing.
- Monitor supplier pricing and lead on purchasing and procurement decisions.
- Oversee invoicing, payment processing, and cash flow reporting.
- Manage HR administration, including wages, holiday and sickness records, and Health & Safety compliance.
- Work with the Director to review contract profitability and monthly P&L.
- Develop into managing new products, contracts, and service quality assurance as systems evolve.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Good general education to GCSE (or equivalent Level 2 qualification).
- Proven experience in office management, operations coordination, logistics, or administration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive requirements.
- Familiarity with engineering, technical services, or agri-food environments.
- Strong IT skills and experience implementing new systems and SOPs.
- Financial awareness in invoicing, purchasing, and cash flow management.
- Understanding of HR administration and H&S compliance.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Willingness to adapt and grow with the role.
