NQ Family & Matrimonial Solicitor
About the Role
An established law practice in Newtownards is seeking a newly qualified Solicitor to join its well-regarded Family & Matrimonial team. The successful candidate will assist in delivering high-quality legal services in family law, including complex and sensitive matters.
Key Responsibilities

Handle family law cases including divorce, separation, ancillary relief, allegations of domestic violence, and matrimonial and civil injunctions

Advise on childrens law matters, both public and private, including contact, residence, and Children Order proceedings

Prepare legal documentation, court filings, and advocacy submissions with attention to detail and client sensitivity
-
Engage directly with clients during consultations, ensuring clear and compassionate communication

Work as part of a collaborative team environment, guided by experienced panel-accredited solicitors

Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge in family law and contribute to continuous professional development
About You

Newly qualified (NQ) solicitor with a passion for family and matrimonial law

Exposure to children and ancillary relief matters (academic or professional experience desirable)

Strong drafting abilities and ability to prepare clear court documents

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach

Commitment to professional development and ethical practice (membership or accreditation with relevant panels is a plus)
