Position Statement:
As Night Porter you will be responsible for
- The security of guests and the premises of the hotel
- Serving and assisting guests for the duration of the night
- Providing the highest standards of service to guests, ensuring all guests needs and expectations are met
- Ensuring you are aware of all hotel services and are proactive in the sale of these to guests
- Ensuring you handle, store and deliver guest luggage to the appropriate destination
- Providing a guest car parking valet service if and when required
- Ensuring the guest areas are maintained in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with departmental and hotel standards
- Receiving payments for food and beverages
- Dealing with room service as required
- Ensuring all equipment and materials are used in a correct manner and reporting any issues immediately
- Maintaining security of stock areas at all times
- Dealing with guest concerns courteously and efficiently, reporting them to the Manager on duty
- Preparing set up for restaurant and conference and banqueting as required
Essential Criteria
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service experience
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous Hospitality experience
